Auf einen Blick
Aktuelle Urbanisierungsprozesse sind vielerorts durch Stadterweiterung und -erneuerung geprägt. Beim Umbau des Bestands geht es auch um die Transformation des baulichen Erbes der 1960er und 1970er Jahre, etwa der klassischen Bürostadt. Diese Standorte sind mit neuen Anforderungen an den Stadtraum konfrontiert. Zugleich wird ihre ökonomische Funktion selten hinterfragt. Anders als bei Großprojekten in privater Governance geht es hier um die Rolle des Staates als zentralen Akteur der Stadtplanung.
